ToggleWHAT HAPPENED?
With Bayern already 4-1 up, Olise delivered a moment of pure class two minutes into injury time, adding a cherry on top of an impressive performance by Vincent Kompany’s team in Gelsenkirchen. Displaying remarkable agility and confidence, Olise weaved past several Shakhtar players and darted into the penalty box. The former Crystal Palace star then showed great composure to sit down opposition goalkeeper Dmytro Riznyk before confidently sliding the ball into the net.

WHAT LAIMER SAID
Olise's electrifying run and finish earned admiration from all quarters, including the Bayern bench. Veteran star Thomas Muller was an animated figure celebrating the goal, while Laimer drew an entertaining comparison to a video game, telling reporters after the game: "It felt like he dribbled through 10 players. It was like in Mario Kart, when you get a star, and nobody touches (you)."

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Olise also scored a penalty in Bayern's latest European victory, and is rapidly carving out a name for himself on the biggest stage with Bayern after joining the Bavarians from Crystal Palace in the summer. With nine goals and seven assists to his name already this season, Olise has already proven himself to Kompany and is playing a key role in the German club's latest bid for Bundesliga and Champions League glory.
